Up for sale is the Hi-Beat 885 Silver Chariot Ref. 2220-7250, produced in Seiko’s Daini factory in Japan in 1976. Part of the refined Chariot line, this piece stands out for its ultra-slim profile — just 7.3mm thick — yet it houses Seiko’s in-house 28,800 vph mechanical movement, an impressive achievement for the era.

One of the main reasons I added this to my collection is its distinctive lug design, which gives the watch a unique silhouette and presence on the wrist. It’s rare to find a vintage piece with such a distinctive case profile in this condition — and all for under $500.
